Online poker growing more popular by the day
A bad economy always means making sacrifices. Different people prioritize their lives differently, which makes it tough to generalize what they will give up first when money gets tight. But surprisingly, most people chose not to give up online poker. There are several reasons for this decision, namely that online poker is an inexpensive hobby to begin with since it can be enjoyed from home. There are no transportation costs, no equipment costs (apart from a computer, which most poker fans own already). Despite not costing a lot to enjoy, online poker still delivers a lot of entertainment, which definitely explains why it remains so popular even now. Online poker in Canada, for example, is drawing more people by the day thanks to Jonathan Duhamel, the Canadian poker champion of the WSOP Main Event in 2010.
